It is a delicious and filling meal that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Here is a simple recipe to make aloo paratha at home:<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 cups whole wheat flour<\/li>\n<li>1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes<\/li>\n<li>1 small onion, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 green chillies, finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon cumin powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon coriander powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon red chilli powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 teaspoon garam masala powder<\/li>\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n<li>Water, as needed<\/li>\n<li>Oil or ghee, as needed for cooking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead until you have a smooth and soft dough. Cover the dough and set it aside for at least 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>In a separate mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, chopped onion, chopped green chillies, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.<\/li>\n<li>Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Take one ball and roll it into a small circle. Place a tablespoon of the potato filling in the center of the circle.<\/li>\n<li>Bring the edges of the circle together and seal the potato filling inside the dough. Flatten the dough ball between your palms and dust with flour.<\/li>\n<li>Roll out the dough ball into a flat disc with a rolling pin, taking care not to let the potato filling escape.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a griddle or a tawa over medium heat. Place the rolled-out paratha on the hot griddle and cook until bubbles form on the surface.<\/li>\n<li>Flip the paratha and cook the other side until golden brown. Brush with oil or ghee as desired.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls until you have made all the parathas.<\/li>\n<li>Serve hot with yogurt, pickle or chutney.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Aloo paratha can be enjoyed on its own or with a side of your choice.
